Decided to take some photos of my workplace at the Science Research Centre in Hwa Chong high school section. Not bad right the workplace? What i like about here is the spacious environment, wun feel so cramped and knock onto others.
Besides working as a research assistant during the June Holidays, Mrs Sow asked me to babysit some students to visit science centre for national chemistry week.
Well…at least there are only 20 people so it was rather manageable. However, the package was nth interesting actually. The hands-on workshop was a bit too easy for the students i suppose – one on electrolysis of water and the other on testing for sulphur dioxide in food.
The next is on a Green Chemystery talk in the maxwell auditorium but i guess the target audience was more of the really young people coz the speakers are really childish to try to bring up the atmosphere. The concept was also too simple and made kiddish to let the small children understand better.

The supposedly “爆點”of the show. Lighting up a candle flame and poke a soap bubbled infused with hydrogen gas – to create this flame which i caught it with my HP camera haha.
This is supposedly showing how ethanol, a renewable fuel, can burn. It was not very successful coz the speakers use a little bit of ethanol only, i guess they dun want to create some kind of explosion but the amount used was a bit too little such that the burning of the flame was not very big enough to create another climax of the show.
